BAS Institute

On February 6 and 7, 2017, the division of Business and Administrative Services (BAS) will roll out a new program called the BAS Institute. This exciting new program was developed in response to feedback received from constituents across campus, who stated they would like the opportunity to engage in focused sessions designed to navigate the multitude of processes and policies in the areas of Travel & Entertainment, Compensation, Recruitment & Talent Acquisition, and Procurement.

The Institute will provide an opportunity to delve into each of these areas and engage with colleagues to discuss best practices. Participants will gain a broader understanding of how various BAS processes intersect with each other and how UC policy frames campus processes. The goal is to ensure departments across campus who rely on BAS processes are equipped with the information and tools needed to be successful. Institute sessions are geared toward anyone seeking to understand BAS business processes and are intended for employees ranging from managers to front-line staff
